A Message from the Principal of Our School
They spread their wings and fly freely with broad minds into the future
Since 1931, our school has worked to foster well-cultured, hard-working, and honest women based on the three principles of sincerity, cheerfulness and willingness to work. Bearing in mind that each student has her own unique and brilliant character, our school provides a caring education that encourages students to lead a fruitful school life. Students work actively not only on their studies but also on school events, club activities, and student committees, where they develop a variety of skills. To respond to the increasingly globalized world, our school emphasizes English education and provides opportunities to study abroad. In parallel, students are required to gain a solid understanding of Japanese culture and history, enhancing their ability to appreciate other cultures. Recently, university entrance exams have become more varied and complex. Our school offers careful guidance to help students achieve their goals. Ultimately, our goal is to help students become independent women who are ready for the challenges of the future.

They will select the same courses as local students, wear the same uniforms, and participate as full members of the school community. The credits earned during the study abroad period will be recognized as credits at Edogawa Girls’ High School, and students will advance to the 6th year upon their return.

Australia Problem-Solving Workshop

Approximately 2 Weeks During the 5th Year of the International English Course
This is not just a language study program but a problem-solving program conducted as part of Global Studies. Participants investigate real-world social issues identified in advance by observing local conditions. Through discussions with international students from other countries, they develop the ability to think critically and communicate effectively from a global perspective.
Bali Overseas Study Program

3rd Year, March
This English exploration program is designed to be a formative experience that helps students reflect on their high school life, future paths, and careers. It encourages participants to envision an ideal future that goes beyond the SDGs and to recognize the changes in their actions and mindset required to achieve that future. This program is not just about lofty ideals but invites a deep consideration of life and existence. Through exposure to the philosophy of Balinese Hinduism, students will experience a variety of values and cultures, and learn to relate global challenges to their personal lives. The goal is to develop a mindset that addresses societal issues. When students feel motivated to "make a difference!" or "resolve an issue!", the program helps them learn how to analyze and approach such challenges. It also strengthens key skills, including "critical analysis" and the ability to "think holistically."
